Composed for my sister’s wedding celebration in June 2026, Where We Meet moves through various stages of a long term relationship starting with initiation (tuning into one another and coming together). Moving through experimentation (digging deeper) results in an intensifying bliss where intimacy builds and integration begins. Ultimately this stage leads to becoming fully bonded.
Musically, material is seamlessly exchanged between parts celebrating the couple’s union and unique individual traits. Performers, Stuart Beczinski (oboe) and Nanci Belmont (bassoon) were integral to the evolution of the composition.
