Mulberry clip
Commissioned by Brad Baumgartner, “Mulberry Song” is for bass clarinet and CD inspired by two poems by William Carlos Williams written in 1960 shortly before his death, Solo: Li Po and Tribute to Neruda: Collector of Seashells. The underlying form of the piece is based on a secret round. This idea emerged from a few lines in Solo where Williams speaks of a Mulberry Song.
